With all rounds to count the Championship leader Ade Collins
entered the final meeting with a healthy point’s advantage. The only problem
was that Ade had a previous engagement and was unable to attend this ‘rain date’
meeting. This left the door open for
second place rider #54 Peter Boast (the father of UK Flattrack racing) to score
enough points to take the championship win. Only a win would do for Team Suzuki
rider Boast and he set about making the day his own with impressive form during
the heats. Younger riders #14 Tim Neave and #30 Alan Birtwistle both had something to
prove and were fighting hard for overall championship places.
The final looked to be set as Boast and Neave settled
into the lead positions but Birtwistle burst through from 3rd place
first underneath Tim Neave and secondly moving under Boast. Boast got pushed
wide opening the door for Darren Trapmore and first time Pro Rider Oliver
Brindley. It was Birtwistle who took it all the way to the flag and secured a
second place in the UK rankings this season.

The heat was on across all of the classes and the restricted
class also went down to the wire. Aaron Silvester was looking to secure his Pro
plate after his first year in Adult racing he need to finish top 6 in his final
to make it count. Aaron was feeling the pressure during the heats but managed
to hold on for a 3rd place in the final and win overall in class. The
win on the day went to Anthony Brown who finished second in the championship
with third on the day going to new rider Simon Traves. Traves will be a great
rider to watch next season, his trials background was showing through on the
tricky surface at the Norfolk arena.

the final behind Darren Trapmore. Scotty took the championship from second
place Robert Neave and the absent Adam Waller. The Trapmore made it a family affair
with Mick Trapmore taking a third place on the day.
Thanks to a DTRA and MCF collaboration the youth classes
saw an n influx of new riders who all enjoyed a great day off oval racing for
the first time. It was number 69 Chad Witzfield who showed the juniors how it
is done followed in by George Hopper and Leon Collier. The Inter Class was won
by Ballistic Ben Neave from Bailey Fellows and Skye Adams. In the Youth Seniors
it was Oliver Brindley all the way followed home by Aaron Silvester and Leah
Tokelove. It was Leah who took the Deus rider of the day award.
The Next DTRA action will be taking place down at Motoland Aaragon at the end of November when we will be employing the help of American Pro rider Kenny Noyes for some training and racing.
